Founded in 1926, the RCWS is focused on enhancing the lives of children at risk in Russia. In 2007, the Society disbursed over $980,000 in direct aid to children in Russia, by supporting orphanages, homeless shelters, hospitals, rehabilitation centers for the disabled children, schools, scholarships for orphans, and organizing New Year's festivities for over 2,000 disadvantaged children in Russia.
