Please help CMA at the DanceJam for the Arts!

Dear Friends and Supporters of CMA:

I am writing to ask for your help at CMA's annual spring fundraiser on March 3, 2009. DanceJam for the Arts is a fun dance party with a fundraising goal of $150,000. This goal, cut by 50% from last year's spring gala, provides critical unrestricted funds to bring our programs to kids in public schools, hospitals and community centers.

This year is tough on everyone. To get through these difficult times CMA has:

• Cut an already very lean expense budget by 10%;
• Is proud to have increased earned income by +59% through introducing new summer programming;
• Has cut way back on what we expect from donors - individuals, government, and foundations for the coming year (-50%), understanding that everyone is working hard to make ends meet.
• Increased our volunteer base by 55% to keep essential programming going.

We need your help in the following way:

Please consider coming to our DanceJam for the Arts.  Every single donation matters, and your support is the only way we can make our bare bones goal. Plus, it will be a great time, with excellent food from La Esquina, dancing to the sounds of DJ Dave Trouble & PJT's, and creative art projects!

Please let your friends know we are seeking the support of many, together in small ways, we can keep CMA thriving during these challenging times.
