The Rising Tide Culinary and Events Space



We are happy to announce the launch of The Rising Tide, the culinary loft that we  built over the summer. We just finished our website (http://therisingtidenyc.com/) so you can visit to learn all about the space. It is now open to the public for viewing and rentals. "The Rising Tide is a unique production and events studio, located in a two story loft in Brooklyn. Fully wired for full-scale movie and television productions, The Rising Tide also features a separate prep kitchen that is ideal for cooking shows, photo shoots, cookbooks and more. Located in Williamsburg, it is the perfect location for filming almost any project. At twelve-hundred square feet, the studio can be modified to host a full production crew with offices. In addition to filming, The Rising Tide can host custom cocktail events and dinner parties for up to forty people."

Saturday Oct 17th - Craig Murphey Memorial Fundraiser

One of the greatest men we will ever know was taken from us 2 years ago. He had one of the biggest hearts and added to everyone that was around him. There is not a day that goes by that we don't wish he was with us.

We will be honoring him and the work he has done with the annual Craig Murphey fundraiser. The proceeds will go to the Craig Murphey Fellowship, the position that was created in his honor to continue his great work.

We are also hosting a hummus contest to help raise money for the CMF
Hummus Cookoff

Proposed entry fee:  $5 (only people who pay will get a score card; sold at door at table where raffle tickets will be sold)

Rules for hummus chef participants:

•    Hummus can be made from any bean of choice
•    Each entrant should plan to make 2 quarts of hummus
•    Each entrant should plan to arrive by 4:30pm on the 17th  to set up and plan to stay until around 7:30pm

Will be a people's panel.  Criteria for judging: (scale of 1-5)
