Fwd: REMINDER JAZZ FESTIVAL AND RECOMMENDATION


REMINDER

The following events will be taking place within the framework of the JAZZ FESTIVAL 2009 during the course of this week.  

We would like to draw your attention to two changes in our program for Friday, October 16th:
MoZuluArt will be performing at Joe's Pub at 7 PM and
Franz Hackl's IDO QUARTET will perform at 7:50 PM at Joe's Pub.


Furthermore, we have scheduled an additional concert featuring
THE ACFNY JAZZ FORMATION on October 16th.

MoZuluart is a project that was founded by Roland Guggenbichler (Austria), Vusa Mkhaya Ndlovu (Zimbabwe), Blessings Nqo Nkomo (Zimbabwe), Ramadu (Zimbabwe). It is a fusion of traditional zulu music with classical music based mainly on Mozart compositions hence the name MoZuluArt.

Franz Hackl merges "Tyrolean Folktunes " the musical dialect he grew up with, with the music and sounds of New York, the town he has called home for almost 20 years. Music has as many dialects as the human language. To open up and further develop your own musical dialect elevates this music and presents it on an international level.
