CONCERT
STEFAN STERZINGER

Singer, accordeonist and conceptual artist Stefan Sterzinger constantly crosses and mixes genres and sociologies. In 1986 he first began to perform with the legendary formation Franz Franz and The Melody Boys. With an accordeon, a tuba, a basson, and percussion made of junk, they played Rolling Stones, Beatles, Muddy Waters, Screamin' J. Hawkins favorites, as well as their own blues-inspired pieces. "Rock 'n' Roll is Brass" was the motto of the best-dressed combo of the Near Balkans. They made history with 2 records, 6 videos, and more than 1000 live perfromances over a period of 8 years from Luebeck to Budapest.

A Sterzinger solo CD was recently produced for Austrian radio OE1, and Sterzinger is currently putting together the Vienna Lied Orkestra, and ensemble made up of 3 accordeons, a violin, a viola, a bass fiddle and percussion.
